Supermom101

SuperMom 101

I am a Super Mom. At least that’s what I’m told. Do I believe it? Some days yes, some days no. Truth be told, I think all moms have super moments. So why do they call me super mom? I am 34, have 7 well behaved children ages 11, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 4 months, I homeschool 4 of them and I own a business with my husband where I we teach music theatre for kids. I think it’s the well behaved part that mostly impresses my friends. And let me just say before you think it, we are not dress wearing ultra conservatives. While I do admire those families in many ways, it’s just not us. We are theatre people and Christians.

But all that has little to do with why I decided to start this blog. I love the way my children are and would love to help other moms through the difficult times and raise some great people. I hope to help you through pregnancy, birth, babyhood and childhood. I’m not perfect and these are all my opinions, but I hope to help you make life a little better.

Let’s get started. What can I tell you in this blog that will help you be a better mom today? Your children are more important. Keep telling yourself that over and over. Stop what you are doing, the house work will still be there, the work can be done after the kids go to bed and dinner can wait a few minutes. Even if it makes the kids stay up a few minutes late, believe me they will live. Go play.

One of my favorite games is hide and seek, especially in the dark outside. But, it can be anything, tag, hide and seek, ball, whatever. Just stop and play with your kids for 30 minutes and you will feel better and happier. This is a great tip for hard days. If life just got hard, something bad has happened or your just feeling depressed, you have in your house something to make you Forget for a little while and get refreshed.

That’s it go and make this the best day you can!
